On January 9, under the guidance of the Jing’an District Government of Shanghai, TÜV Rheinland successfully hosted the "2026 New Energy International Expansion Summit." The summit focused on the overseas capacity expansion needs of new energy and automotive manufacturing enterprises, bringing together government officials, industry experts, and corporate representatives to explore opportunities and compliance challenges in markets such as Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. At the event, TÜV Rheinland officially launched the *Corporate Overseas Expansion Guidelines*, which comprehensively address the full lifecycle of overseas factory establishment—from site selection and construction to operation and decommissioning—and systematically outline six key compliance dimensions to help enterprises mitigate risks and control costs. Jing’an District announced its commitment to building a “hub for overseas expansion services,” partnering with institutions like TÜV Rheinland to establish a permanent cooperation platform. Additionally, numerous domestic and international experts shared insights on topics including investment opportunities in Malaysia, localization strategies in the Middle East, carbon capture technologies, automotive certification, energy storage safety, and AI compliance, all aimed at advancing the high-standard global expansion of “Made in China.”
