The mid-cycle refresh of the Volkswagen Caddy was recently spotted undergoing winter testing in snowy conditions in Sweden. The updated model features restrained exterior tweaks, retaining the current full-width grille and headlight design but introducing a new front bumper, more prominent air intakes, and a redesigned license plate area and lower grille. The vehicle retains dual sliding side doors and its distinctive asymmetric split tailgate at the rear; the taillights remain unchanged for now but may receive brightness enhancements later. Inside, the refreshed Caddy will feature a larger infotainment screen and improvements in materials, build quality, and chassis systems—with particular focus on refining suspension, steering, and braking performance. Powertrain details have not yet been revealed, but the updates are expected to prioritize improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, with the plug-in hybrid variant likely receiving concurrent upgrades. The refreshed model is expected to launch officially in 2027.
