iCAR V27 Blind Booking Opens; Chery’s First Range-Extended “Boxy” SUV Launches in Q1

iCAR, a brand under Chery, has today launched blind pre-orders for its first range-extended model—the iCAR V27. Positioned as a smart, rugged, five-seat midsize SUV, the V27 continues the brand’s signature “boxy” design language and is currently the largest vehicle in the iCAR lineup. It is scheduled to officially launch in Q1 of this year. Starting today, customers who pay a refundable deposit of RMB 2,000 will enjoy three exclusive benefits: full exemption from purchase tax, a gift for test-driving, and a RMB 3,000 customization package upon vehicle delivery. Exterior highlights include a two-tone front grille, oval-shaped headlights, an externally mounted spare tire, and black exterior accents. The vehicle measures 4,909 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width, and 1,855/1,894 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,910 mm. Inside, the cabin features a T-shaped dashboard layout, a floating central touchscreen, and physical control buttons. Powering the V27 is a 1.5T range-extender system, available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The AWD variant delivers a combined output of 335 kW, offers a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 200 km, and boasts a projected total driving range exceeding 1,000 km.
