The Nissan Z sports car, which launched just three years ago, has already received its mid-cycle refresh, debuting the updated model at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Externally, the controversial large grille has been replaced with a cleaner dual-layer design, complemented by a new "Unryu Green" paint option and 19-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels, giving the car a more refined appearance overall. Inside, a new light-brown leather trim is added, though interior changes remain relatively restrained. Performance upgrades include retuned dampers with larger pistons and a bigger braking system, enhancing both handling and stopping power. The Nismo variant will also offer a manual transmission (some images mistakenly show paddle shifters). The Japanese-market model is expected to go on sale first in summer 2026, while the U.S.-spec version is anticipated to arrive later this year as a 2027 model.
