On January 11, Peugeot unveiled the official overseas images of its all-new 408, which corresponds to the 408X in the Chinese market. The new model features a bold, avant-garde design language, integrating full LED "claw-style" headlights with the grille. At the rear, it adds gloss-black trim and illuminated "Peugeot" badging, and is offered in an exclusive "Flame Shadow Green" exterior color. Powertrain options include three variants: a 1.2L turbocharged mild-hybrid (145 hp, fuel consumption of 5 L/100 km), a 1.6L turbocharged plug-in hybrid (combined output of 240 hp, pure-electric range of 85 km), and a fully electric version (213 hp, range of 456 km). Inside, the cabin retains a layered layout, featuring dual 10-inch displays, an unconventional steering wheel, physical buttons, heated and massaging seats, and an upgraded Hi-Fi audio system. The trunk offers 536 liters of cargo space, expandable to 1,611 liters with the rear seats folded down, providing a maximum load length of 1.89 meters.
