NIO's all-electric compact car, the Firefly, has reached 40,000 units delivered, confirmed Yu Dongming, General Manager of NIO Anhui, on January 11. Launched on April 19, 2025, with a price range of RMB 119,800 to RMB 125,800, the Firefly quickly gained market acceptance thanks to its 420 km CLTC range, 105 kW rear-wheel-drive motor, and affordable positioning. Deliveries surged from the 20,000th unit (achieved in September 2025) to the 40,000th unit in just about three months, reflecting strong momentum. Meanwhile, NIO is accelerating its channel expansion into lower-tier markets and plans to open its first batch of integrated stores before the Chinese New Year, offering vehicles from all three brands—NIO, Onvo, and Firefly—while also speeding up the development of its charging and battery-swap infrastructure.
