This week, the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector has been abuzz with major developments. Zhu Jiangming, founder of Leapmotor, emphasized that "automakers must never sell cars at a loss," advocating for sustainable competitiveness through enhanced product quality and cost control. He predicted that China’s NEV penetration rate will reach 80%–90% within the next three to five years. Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), under Huawei’s Harmony OS ecosystem, officially unveiled its new sedan-coupe model, the Shangjie Z7, featuring LiDAR and semi-recessed door handles, accelerating its push into the smart EV market. Meanwhile, Dreame Technology, a leading player in the smart home cleaning appliance industry, made a cross-industry debut at CES. Its subsidiary, Starry Plan, unveiled the Nebula Next 01, an all-electric hypercar concept equipped with a quad-motor system capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.8 seconds. Additionally, CATL and NIO signed a five-year strategic cooperation agreement to deepen collaboration on battery swapping technology and ecosystem development. NIO also announced plans to enter lower-tier markets by 2026, opening integrated stores to sell vehicles from its three brands and drive large-scale growth.
