Onvo, a sub-brand of NIO, is accelerating its battery-doubling initiative for its battery swap stations. As of January 11, the company has deployed over 6,150 new batteries across its nationwide swap network, achieving 76.88% of its overall target. Announced on December 5, 2025, the plan aims to add more than 8,000 batteries by mid-January 2026, more than doubling the number of Onvo batteries available at swap stations. This move is designed to meet heightened demand during the Spring Festival travel rush and support the growing energy replenishment needs driven by an expanding user base. Onvo Auto was established in May 2024 and delivered its 100,000th vehicle by October 2025.
