FAW-Volkswagen has officially filed the Tayron L PHEV, a plug-in hybrid midsize SUV, which will be offered in two exterior variants: a standard version and an R-Line sporty version. The vehicle is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine (with a maximum net power output of 95 kW) and a 145 kW electric motor, paired with a 22 kWh battery pack that delivers a maximum all-electric range of 115 km. The standard version features black horizontal front grille accents, while the R-Line variant sports a diamond-pattern grille and “wind blade” trim elements to emphasize its sporty character. Both versions are marked with blue “PHEV” badges and feature hidden exhaust tips. Although there are slight differences in overall body dimensions, both variants share the same wheelbase of 2,791 mm. Additionally, the Tayron L PHEV offers various optional accessories, including different headlight designs, grilles, bumpers, and four wheel rim styles. The traction battery is supplied by Sunwoda.
