Luftgekühlt, the globally celebrated Porsche gathering beloved by enthusiasts worldwide, will make its Japanese debut on March 14, 2026, with a special event titled “Luft Tokyo.” The event will take place on a closed section of the KK Expressway in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo—a stretch temporarily shut down for renovation works. This urban thoroughfare will be transformed into a stunning showcase lined with rare air-cooled Porsches. Japan, renowned for its deep appreciation and preservation of rare classic cars, is expected to bring out legendary models, including road-legal examples of the iconic Porsche 962. Vehicle owners can register to exhibit starting January 22, 2026, while public tickets go on sale February 2. Blending classic car culture with an iconic urban setting, this event promises to be the most spectacular edition in Luftgekühlt’s history.
