Firefly, a sub-brand under NIO, has seen its debut model rapidly gain popularity since launch, with cumulative deliveries surpassing 40,000 units. Despite a starting price of RMB 119,800 and a design playfully nicknamed “Six-Eyed Flying Fish” by netizens, the vehicle has won market recognition thanks to standout features such as a class-leading 4.7-meter turning radius, full-scenario automatic parking, and vision-based driver assistance systems. Measuring 4,003 mm in length, 1,781 mm in width, and 1,557 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,615 mm, the car offers strong practicality, including a 92-liter front trunk equipped with a drainage function. In terms of safety, it was engineered to meet both China’s C-NCAP and Europe’s Euro NCAP five-star standards, comes standard with nine airbags, boasts class-leading torsional rigidity, and achieved top scores across all categories in tests conducted by the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (C-IASI), making it the highest-rated compact car in history for safety. Powering the vehicle is a 105 kW rear-mounted electric motor paired with a 42.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 420 km. It also supports NIO’s battery swap network, ensuring convenient and efficient energy replenishment.
