On January 10, Pony.ai and BAIC Bluepark announced the launch of Phase 2.0 of their "Five-in-One" strategic partnership, focusing on the mass production, commercialization, and globalization of Level 4 (L4) autonomous driving. Building upon the Arcfox Alpha T5 Robotaxi, the two companies are co-developing a new L4 autonomous vehicle from the ground up and extending their technology solution to high-end intelligent passenger vehicles. To date, over 600 units of this Robotaxi model have been produced, helping Pony.ai advance toward its goal of deploying 1,000 vehicles by 2025 and laying the foundation for reaching 3,000 units by the end of 2026. The vehicles are already operating in key areas including Yizhuang in Beijing, Nanshan and Bao’an in Shenzhen, serving scenarios such as airports and high-speed rail stations, with plans to expand to more first-tier cities this year. Additionally, the partners aim to introduce their "China solution" to markets in the Middle East and Europe and will integrate BAIC’s mobility platforms and aftermarket resources to jointly build a comprehensive Robotaxi ecosystem.
