The vehicle was wrapped in camouflage featuring wave-like patterns and the text "OCEAN 8," confirming it as the "Seal 08." Previously, at BYD Ocean's 4th Anniversary Ocean Day event in December 2025, the company officially unveiled its "Ocean Series 8 Dual Flagships"—the Seal 08 sedan and the Sealion 08 SUV—and announced that both models will debut in the first quarter of 2026.
