On January 10, the first production unit of the iCAR V27—a smart, rugged, five-seater midsize SUV under Chery’s iCAR brand—rolled off the assembly line at the Wuhu Mega Factory, marking the model's entry into mass production. Developed for global markets, the V27 is scheduled to launch domestically in China in Q1 2026 and will simultaneously begin initial shipments to the Middle East. Currently, the iCAR V27 is open for a limited-time blind pre-order (until February 28). Customers who pay a RMB 2,000 deposit will receive benefits including full exemption from purchase tax, priority test-drive access, and a RMB 3,000 delivery gift. The V27 features a distinctive “boxy” design, with dimensions of 5,055 mm (length) × 1,976 mm (width) × 1,894 mm (height). It is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged range extender paired with a 34.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 210 km and a combined range exceeding 1,200 km. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5 seconds and supports fast charging (20%–80% in 20 minutes). Standard across all trims are seven airbags and the Eagle 700 intelligent driving system, which offers urban/highway navigation assistance and a roaming mode.
