Ferrari has recently filed a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office titled "Predictive Control System for Aerodynamic Add-On Devices of Road Vehicles." The system aims to dynamically adjust a vehicle's aerodynamic components by using predictive algorithms to anticipate aerodynamic load requirements and driving conditions in advance. Developed from Ferrari’s track experience in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship (WEC), the technology is expected to translate millisecond-level performance advantages into improved lap times for future road-going models. The patent application was submitted in June 2025 and published in December of the same year. This move underscores Ferrari’s ongoing effort to integrate racing-derived technologies into its production cars, further reinforcing its high-performance DNA.
