On January 12, GAC Intelligent Driving announced it has secured a tens-of-millions-yuan order for airport shuttle buses, marking the official entry of its Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving platform solution into large-scale pre-installed mass production and delivery. Built upon the company’s self-developed Computing Base Platform and Development System (CBDES), the solution leverages domestically produced central domain controllers and multi-sensor fusion technology. It features a layered, decoupled architecture spanning “hardware platform – operating system – application software,” ensuring functional safety and operational reliability. Specifically optimized for low-speed, closed environments like airports, the solution incorporates deep enhancements in perception fusion, high-precision localization, and decision-making & planning modules. Powered by the proprietary ICVOS operating system, it provides end-to-end in-house developed algorithmic support across the entire workflow. Integrated with an intelligent operations cloud platform, the system enables fully unmanned operations across all scenarios—including remote monitoring, automatic charging, and autonomous parking—effectively navigating complex airport road conditions. This empowers OEMs to efficiently develop and mass-deliver L3 intelligent vehicles.
