In 2025, BYD sold over 4.6 million new energy vehicles (NEVs), an increase of 7.73% year-over-year, solidifying its position as the top-selling NEV brand both in China and globally. Its overseas market performance was particularly impressive, with sales surpassing one million units for the first time—reaching 1.049 million units, a remarkable 145% year-over-year surge. Despite experiencing a rare quarterly revenue decline in the domestic market during Q3, BYD has designated 2026 as the "Year of Breakthrough Through Technology Implementation," planning to launch semi-solid-state Blade Batteries, roll out 900–1,000V high-voltage platforms across its models, and unveil multiple new vehicles. However, the company also faces challenges, including diminishing benefits from the "price parity between fuel and electric vehicles" strategy and relatively low brand recognition in the field of vehicle intelligence.
