According to data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on January 12, Xiaomi Auto achieved total retail sales of 411,837 units in 2025, surging 200.9% year-over-year and securing a spot among the top ten new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers for the first time. In December alone, Xiaomi sold 50,212 vehicles, up 8.6% month-over-month and 94.5% year-over-year. While most leading brands posted annual growth of less than 30%, Xiaomi significantly outpaced the industry average, emerging as the market’s fastest-growing player. With newcomers like Xiaomi and Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance entering the top 10, established automakers such as BYD and Geely remain at the forefront—but the competitive landscape is rapidly reshaping, intensifying the rivalry between incumbents and new entrants.
