From January 5 to 11, 2026, multiple new domestic vehicle models were launched. XPeng introduced the updated P7+ and G7, both featuring an 800V high-voltage platform and 5C ultra-fast-charging AI batteries as standard across all trims, enhancing driving range and charging efficiency. The G6 and G9 received upgraded in-car infotainment chips for improved smart features. BYD unveiled the Seagull 05 DM-i and Seagull 06 DM-i, with a maximum CLTC all-electric range of up to 210 km. Additionally, the 2026 Beijing Hyundai Santa Fe went on sale on January 6, priced between RMB 195,800 and RMB 268,800, offering four variants and discontinuing the Connoisseur Pro trim. The new model continues the "Open for More" design philosophy and comes equipped with dual 12.3-inch displays, a head-up display (HUD), Nappa leather seats, and flexible seating configurations in 5-, 6-, or 7-seat layouts. It also adds new intelligent features such as a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) camera and driver fatigue detection. Powering the vehicle is a 2.0T engine delivering a maximum output of 182 kW, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
