In 2025, Leapmotor delivered nearly 600,000 vehicles, more than doubling its deliveries year-over-year, making it the top-selling new energy vehicle (NEV) startup and achieving consecutive quarterly profitability. Marking its 10th anniversary, Leapmotor has set an ambitious goal: to sell 4 million vehicles annually within a decade and rank among the world’s top 10 automakers, with a near-term target of hitting 1 million units in sales by 2026. The company’s core competitiveness stems from its comprehensive in-house R&D capabilities—achieving an 88% shared rate across key components, significantly reducing costs and enabling advanced technologies to be deployed on affordable models, such as equipping its sub-¥100,000 A10 model with LiDAR. Additionally, Leapmotor has established a strategic equity triangle comprising its founding team, state-owned China FAW Group, and global automotive giant Stellantis, strengthening its manufacturing, resource access, and global expansion. However, challenges remain, including limited brand recognition in the premium segment, a relatively late start in intelligent driving technologies, and intensifying price competition across the industry—all of which pose critical hurdles as Leapmotor aims for million-unit sales and global leadership.
