Audi A6L Facelift Imminent: Current Model Slashed by $21,000, New Version May Jump $10,000

The eighth-generation FAW Audi A6L is currently receiving significant discounts. According to a sales representative at a Beijing 4S dealership, the 2026 A6L 45 TFSI Premium Dynamic model—officially priced at RMB 454,900—is now available with a direct discount of RMB 154,600 off the sticker price, bringing the transaction price down to just RMB 300,000 (excluding trade-in subsidies). The salesperson added that the ninth-generation A6L, built on the new PPC intelligent platform, will make its debut on January 15 and is expected to carry a price increase of approximately RMB 70,000 across the board, potentially adopting a “fixed-price” sales model. Despite the substantial discount, most vehicles currently in stock at the dealership were produced after October 2025 and do not meet standard inventory age criteria. As FAW Audi’s best-selling model, the A6L sold 172,000 units in 2025; however, the brand’s overall sales in China declined by 6.7% year-over-year amid intense competition from new energy vehicle brands.
