To attract buyers beyond the SUV segment, Kia has launched the all-new K4 Sportswagon—currently exclusive to the European market. The new wagon carries over the design language of the K4 sedan and hatchback but stretches the length to 4,695 mm, adding 265 mm over the hatchback—all dedicated to expanding cargo space. The standard boot capacity reaches 604 liters, expanding to 1,439 liters with the rear seats folded down; opting for the mild-hybrid system slightly reduces this volume. Inside, the cabin features dual 12.3-inch displays plus a 5.3-inch climate control screen. Powertrain options start with a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine (113 hp) paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Buyers can also choose from a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (available in 148 hp or 177 hp outputs) or a mild-hybrid variant—all produced at Kia’s Mexican plant. Notably, the fake exhaust tips previously seen on the GT-Line trim have been removed, though the wagon still lacks a rear wiper. While its cargo space falls slightly short of rivals like the Volkswagen Golf Estate and Škoda Octavia Combi, the standard power tailgate enhances practicality. A full hybrid version is set to arrive in Europe later this year.
