Beijing's 2026 vehicle trade-in subsidy policy has officially taken effect, with the application system opening at 10:00 a.m. on February 9. The subsidies are divided into two categories: "scrap-and-replace" and "trade-in-and-replace." Eligible consumers can receive subsidies of up to RMB 20,000. Specifically, those who scrap their old vehicles and purchase new energy passenger cars will receive a subsidy equivalent to 12% of the new vehicle’s purchase price, capped at RMB 20,000. For those purchasing fuel-powered passenger cars with an engine displacement of 2.0 liters or below, the subsidy will be 10% of the purchase price, capped at RMB 15,000. The policy aims to encourage green transportation and promote the upgrading and revitalization of automobile consumption.
