The first production unit of SAIC Volkswagen's all-new all-electric SUV, the ID.ERA 9X, has officially rolled off the assembly line at its Ningbo plant, marking the model's entry into mass production. According to the company, the vehicle will officially open for pre-orders at the end of March 2026. As the latest addition to Volkswagen’s ID. family, the ID.ERA 9X is built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform and positioned as a mid-to-large-sized SUV, expected to feature Volkswagen’s latest intelligent driving and electrification technologies.
