Ford China announced that Ford Motor Company will return to Formula 1 after a 22-year absence. Starting with the 2026 season, Ford will partner with Red Bull Racing to co-develop an all-new F1 power unit, building from the ground up a system that integrates electric and internal combustion technologies. The two parties will jointly develop control models, tackle technical challenges, and formulate optimal race strategies. The new “Red Bull Ford” power unit will make its debut at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix, marking Ford’s official return to the pinnacle of motorsport.
