On March 10, Baidu announced the launch of its summer internship recruitment program for students graduating in 2027, offering over 5,000 positions—the largest internship hiring scale in the company’s history. More than 90% of these roles are related to artificial intelligence (AI), spanning cutting-edge areas such as large-model algorithms, multimodal technologies, and autonomous driving. Baidu also unveiled seven specialized internship programs, including a Management Trainee Internship Program. Meanwhile, ByteDance and Tencent are accelerating their efforts to secure AI talent. ByteDance opened applications on March 6 for its 2026 internship program, offering more than 7,000 positions, including over 4,800 in research and development. Tencent is recruiting over 10,000 interns globally, with a strong focus on AI fields such as multimodal learning, natural language processing, and recommendation algorithms. Major Chinese internet companies are leveraging large-scale internship hiring to secure core AI talent well in advance.
