On March 11, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) and Fuzhou Public Transport Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Ningde, Fujian Province. The two parties will deepen collaboration in key areas including after-sales battery services for electric buses, urban battery-swapping network development, battery recycling and reuse, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) integration. As Fujian Province’s largest public transport operator, Fuzhou Public Transport Group has already achieved full electrification of its fleet. This partnership aims to address critical challenges in large-scale electric bus operations—such as low energy replenishment efficiency and short battery lifespans—and to advance the development of a safer, more efficient, low-carbon, and intelligent urban public transport energy system. It also seeks to extend battery asset value from mere "usage" to a circular lifecycle.
