The organization has now included grid investment within its definition of energy transition investment, highlighting the critical role of grids in achieving decarbonization goals. Additionally, BNEF forecasts that global data centers’ electricity demand will soar to 1,600 terawatt-hours by 2035, further underscoring the urgency of upgrading power infrastructure.
