At approximately 6:36 p.m. on March 12, a traffic accident occurred at the entrance of Building B, No. 2 Menghai Road in Jinghong City, Yunnan Province. The 32-year-old driver, surnamed Li, was operating a small box truck and, due to improper maneuvering while reversing, struck pedestrians behind the vehicle, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The injured have been hospitalized and are all reported to be out of life-threatening condition. Police responded promptly to the scene upon receiving the report, immediately taking Li into custody. Toxicology tests ruled out alcohol or drug impairment. Currently, the investigation into the incident and follow-up arrangements are proceeding in an orderly manner.
