Leapmotor's first-ever MPV, the D99, recently appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 405th batch of new vehicle announcements, positioned as a tech-luxury flagship model. The D99 will be offered in both all-electric and range-extended variants. With an overall length of 5,280 mm and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm, it features optional two-tone paint, "big disc" alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. The third-row seats support power adjustment and can be folded flat. The all-electric version is equipped with dual motors (180 kW front / 230 kW rear) and CATL’s 115 kWh Super Hybrid Battery cells. The range-extended variant pairs a 1.5L range extender with an 80.3 kWh battery, delivering class-leading CLTC all-electric range. All trims come standard with an 800V high-voltage architecture, Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) integration, and Leapmotor’s Dual-Energy AWD system. Inside, the cabin boasts zero-gravity seats, semi-aniline leather upholstery, dual chips offering 1,280 TOPS of computing power, and VLA large-model-based intelligent driving assistance. For handling, the D99 features segment-leading body rigidity, a dual-chamber air suspension, and Michelin high-performance tires. It will be available in five exterior colors, including Photon White and Liquid Silver.
