Harmony Intelligent Mobility has announced that the Aito M8 is set for a major upgrade, featuring Huawei's Qiankun 896-line LiDAR and side-mounted high-precision solid-state LiDAR, forming a four-LiDAR system that significantly enhances its advanced driver-assistance capabilities. The refreshed model will also debut in two new exterior colors: "Rui Hong" (Auspicious Red) and "Zhan Lan" (Deep Blue). According to filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the 2026 Aito M8 extended-range plug-in hybrid measures 5,190 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. It will be equipped with a 51.9 kWh ternary lithium battery from CATL, delivering a WLTC-rated all-electric range of 245–249 kilometers. The vehicle is expected to make its debut at Huawei’s Spring All-Scenario New Product Launch Event on March 23.
