Bentley's first all-electric SUV is expected to be named "Barnato" and is slated for launch in 2026. Positioned below the current best-selling Bentayga, the new model will feature a smaller footprint and will be built on Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), sharing technology with the Audi Q6 e-tron and Porsche Macan Electric. Although Bentley has not officially confirmed the name, a trademark application filed in the U.S. in August 2025 shows that "Barnato" has already been registered under vehicle and charging accessory categories. The name pays homage to Woolf Barnato, a legendary figure in Bentley’s history who served as a company director from 1926 to 1931 and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times. Bentley first unveiled a silhouette teaser of the vehicle in 2024, highlighting its significance as the brand’s inaugural electric model. Specific powertrain details remain under wraps, and the final name has yet to be officially announced.
