On March 18, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) in Beijing. The two parties will deepen collaboration on overseas business risk protection and financing support, offering CATL’s global customers more competitive financial solutions and empowering high-quality international expansion for new energy enterprises. As the world’s leading power battery manufacturer, CATL reported revenue of RMB 423.7 billion in 2025, with overseas revenue accounting for 30.6% of its total and maintaining a steady 30% share of the global market. The company has earned recognition from international automakers such as Volkswagen and BMW. Facing challenges including exchange rate volatility and country-specific risks, this partnership will leverage Sinosure—a policy-backed financial institution—to provide comprehensive risk coverage across the entire industrial chain, supporting CATL’s key overseas market development, overseas capacity expansion, and bidding for large-scale projects. Moving forward, CATL will integrate its technological strengths with national-level financial resources to create an integrated “technology + finance” solution, driving the global new energy industry toward a new phase of shared value creation.
