Valeo, a global leader in automotive lighting technology, recently announced that its Visual Systems Division has secured two significant interior lighting project orders in China—one from a leading traditional automaker and the other from a prominent new-energy vehicle (NEV) startup. The orders cover customized lighting solutions for both premium luxury cabins and tech-forward intelligent cockpits, highlighting Valeo’s innovation capabilities in enhancing smart cockpit experiences. Zhou Song, President of Valeo China, stated that these wins mark a strong start for Valeo’s “Leap 2028” strategy in China. As Valeo’s largest single market, China accounted for over 60% of the company’s local orders, with domestic automaker orders in 2025 reaching 2.8 times the value of its sales revenue in the country. Valeo continues to strengthen its local R&D and manufacturing footprint, with comprehensive upgrades underway at its Wuhan R&D center and production facilities in Foshan and Changshu, accelerating the shift from “Made in China” to “Created in China.”
