At Xiaomi's Spring New Product Launch Event on March 19, Lei Jun announced a comprehensive upgrade to the new-generation Xiaomi SU7’s advanced driver-assistance system. All trim levels now come standard with LiDAR and Xiaomi’s high-end HAD (Highly Advanced Driving) intelligent driving system, powered by the XLA cognitive large model to enhance perception and decision-making capabilities. The upgraded system supports 25 safety-assist features covering front, rear, and side protection—including Emergency Steering Assist and Rear Low-Speed Collision Avoidance. In terms of user experience, the vehicle can now perform “spot-level” autonomous parking navigation in shopping mall parking garages. It also introduces new voice-control functions—for example, saying “Xiao Ai, keep farther from the car ahead” will automatically adjust the following distance. Additionally, first-generation SU7 Pro/Max, SU7 Ultra, and YU7 models will receive these upgrades gradually via over-the-air (OTA) updates. Lei Jun emphasized: “Driver assistance is not autonomous driving—drivers must remain attentive at all times.”
