Chery Automobile (HKEX: 09973) exported 1.294 million vehicles in 2025, up 33.2% year-over-year, solidifying its position as China’s top automaker in overseas sales. In contrast, its domestic passenger vehicle retail sales rose by only 1%. According to its financial report, overseas markets accounted for nearly half (49.2%) of Chery’s total sales volume but contributed 52.4% of its revenue, becoming the key driver of profit growth. Facing a slowdown in China’s auto market, Chery has accelerated its overseas expansion, achieving dual growth in both sales volume and revenue through its global strategy.
