Deepal S09 Adds Rear-Wheel-Drive Ultra Long-Range Variant, Starting at RMB 259,900

Changan Deepal has added a new rear-wheel-drive Ultra Long Range variant of the S09, priced at RMB 259,900—RMB 20,000 less than the laser radar-equipped Ultra+ version. The new model retains the current exterior design, featuring split headlights, flush door handles, and a full-width taillight. Despite lacking a laser radar, it still comes equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.1 advanced driver-assistance system. Inside, the cabin features dual 15.6-inch 2.5K displays, a 43-inch AR-HUD, and HarmonySpace 5 powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS. Both front and rear seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The vehicle measures 5,205 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. It is powered by a 1.5T range extender, delivering a combined output of 231 kW. The CLTC-rated all-electric range stands at 310 km, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds. Its WLTC fuel consumption in range-extender mode is 6.6 L/100 km. The S09 also supports CATL’s 5C ultra-fast charging technology, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 10 minutes, and is equipped with an adjustable air suspension and CDC damping system.
