Hesai Technology announced that its compact long-range LiDAR, the ATX, has officially been selected for FAW Bestune’s next-generation vehicle models. Designed specifically for Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), the ATX has surpassed one million units in cumulative deliveries since mass production began in Q1 2025. In 2025, FAW Bestune achieved sales of 200,000 vehicles—the brand’s highest in 20 years—with new energy vehicles accounting for a remarkable 86% of total sales. To date, Hesai has secured mass-production nominations from 40 automotive brands across more than 160 vehicle models, covering all of China’s top-10 automakers by sales volume. Additionally, Hesai has secured agreements with the country’s two largest ADAS customers to supply its LiDAR solutions across their entire model lineups starting in 2026. The newly upgraded ATX features significantly enhanced performance, boasting 256 lines of resolution, an angular resolution of 0.08°×0.05°, a detection range of 230 meters at 10% reflectivity, and a point frequency of 3.84 million points per second. It also integrates Hesai’s proprietary Photonic Isolation technology and Intelligent Point Cloud Engine (IPE).
