Subaru will unveil its fourth all-electric model—a high-performance electric SUV—at the New York Auto Show on April 1. The new vehicle will be powered by a 420-horsepower electric motor and feature Subaru’s signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, making it the brand’s most powerful EV to date—surpassing the current Trailseeker, which produces 375 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. Teaser images reveal that the new SUV’s headlights resemble those of the Trailseeker and Uncharted, with an overall design that continues Subaru’s family styling language. Subaru currently offers three EVs: the Uncharted, starting at $36,445; the Solterra (co-developed with Toyota), priced from $39,945; and the Trailseeker, starting at $41,445. The new model is expected to carry a starting price of around $45,000. The unveiling will take place at 10:25 a.m. EDT on April 1 and will be streamed live.
