Mercedes-AMG has officially unveiled the new AMG GT Track Series concept car, which serves as the technological foundation for both the next-generation GT3 race car and the AMG GT Black Series. Designed specifically for the track while retaining road-going capability, the vehicle aims to become the most extreme Black Series model ever built, directly targeting rivals like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Ford Mustang GTD. The new concept retains the silhouette of the AMG GT but features a wider and longer body, along with comprehensive aerodynamic enhancements—including a front splitter, side air blades, a vented hood, and a "swan-neck" rear wing. Notably, the rear windshield has even been eliminated to reinforce structural rigidity. Under the hood, it will be powered by a next-generation flat-plane-crank V8 engine, emphasizing lightweight construction and pure performance. The car has already undergone testing on multiple circuits and is currently in the fine-tuning phase at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Senior AMG executives stated that this is far more than just a concept—it’s a commitment to ultimate performance.
