The second-generation Denza D9, a premium MPV from BYD, will officially open for pre-orders on March 29. The new model is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery, featuring ultra-fast charging capabilities—achieving a "5-minute quick top-up and 9-minute full charge." Even in extreme cold conditions of -30°C, charging time increases by only three minutes. In terms of range, the plug-in hybrid variant delivers over 400 km of pure electric driving, while the all-electric version reaches up to 800 km. The vehicle is expected to launch in the first half of this year. Exterior updates include a redesigned front grille that enhances its three-dimensional appearance. Powertrain-wise, the front-wheel-drive version features a 340 kW front-mounted motor, while the all-wheel-drive variant adds an additional 70 kW rear motor, bringing the curb weight up to 3,015 kg. The model has already appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 404th batch of vehicle announcements.
