To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Acura has unveiled the "Integra 40 Race," a tribute race car based on the first-generation Integra. Developed by Honda Racing Corporation US, the vehicle retains the original factory 1.6-liter D16A1 four-cylinder engine (originally rated at 113 horsepower) and five-speed manual transmission, both of which have been rebuilt and upgraded. Additional performance modifications include a Monsoon ECU, coil-on-plug ignition system, stainless steel long-tube exhaust headers, a custom Boral exhaust system, a Torsen limited-slip differential, Tein coilover suspension, and a manual steering rack. The braking system features Carbotech brake pads, stainless steel braided brake lines, and has been converted to a manual brake setup. The exterior is finished in Rio Red Metallic paint, paired with 14-inch Mugen wheels wrapped in Yokohama semi-slick tires. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a Blackbird Fabworx roll cage, OMP racing seats, and six-point harnesses. The Integra 40 Race will make its debut at the 51st Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, held from April 17–19.
