The latest edition of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) catalog listing new energy vehicles exempt from purchase tax has revealed powertrain details for the Leapmotor A05. The vehicle is offered with two battery options—39.8 kWh and 53 kWh—delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 405 km and 510 km, respectively. It also comes in two motor variants with outputs of 70 kW and 90 kW. In terms of design, the Leapmotor A05 features a closed-off front grille with the brand logo centered, complemented by rounded headlight clusters. The vehicle measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. The rear design echoes the front fascia, highlighted by taillights incorporating a "smiling face" motif and a black trim strip integrated into the lower rear bumper.
