Lola T70S Reimagined Debuts with Sustainable Materials and Road/Race Variants

Lola was once a renowned British racing chassis manufacturer, with its products achieving victories in major events such as Le Mans, Daytona, and Indianapolis. The company went bankrupt in 2012 but relaunched operations in 2022, unveiling the new T70S model—a modern reinterpretation of the iconic T70 race car, updated with contemporary materials and manufacturing techniques. In a video featuring three-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Johnny Herbert, several details of the T70S were showcased. The body is constructed from "natural fiber," which is lighter and stronger than the fiberglass used on the original T70, offering a carbon-fiber-like appearance but with greater recyclability. Additionally, the protective coating on the wheels and suspension uprights is derived from sea salt residue, applied to safeguard magnesium alloy components. The T70S will be available in both road-going and track-only configurations. The displayed vehicle is the road version, featuring Alcantara upholstery and other luxury appointments. Official pricing and delivery details have not yet been announced.
