Hyundai Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with China's State Administration for Market Regulation, announcing an immediate recall of 357 imported Palisade vehicles produced between August 13, 2025, and March 4, 2026. The recall is due to a safety issue involving the second- and third-row power-folding seats: the anti-pinch function’s detection range is insufficient, which may fail to detect occupants during seat folding, potentially causing them to be pinched. Additionally, the seatbacks may not return to their original position, posing a risk of injury to occupants. To address this defect, the company will, through its authorized service centers, provide free software updates for the body domain controller, seat controller, and multimedia infotainment system to eliminate the safety hazard.
