The IM LS8 officially launched on April 16, with a price range of RMB 249,800 to RMB 299,800. All variants come standard with the "Stellar Super Range-Extended" system, featuring an 800V silicon carbide motor, delivering a CLTC combined range of 1,605 km, a pure electric range of 430 km, and a fuel consumption of 5.9 L/100 km under low battery conditions. The vehicle supports a "fuel-only, no charging" usage mode, enabling nearly 1,000 km of range using gasoline alone. It also features an 800V ultra-fast charging platform, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 12 minutes. All LS8 models are equipped with a bidirectional 24° intelligent four-wheel steering system, achieving a turning radius of 4.85 meters. The chassis features a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension setup, paired with an intelligent closed-loop air suspension and Continental’s brake-by-wire system from Germany. In terms of intelligence, the LS8 is outfitted with a 520-line LiDAR, NVIDIA Thor chip, 64GB LPDDR5X memory, and the Momenta-powered IM AD advanced driver-assistance system, which is upgradeable to Level 4 autonomy in the future. Inside the cabin, it debuts the Qwen large language model-powered IM Ultra Agent, supporting voice execution of complex commands. The interior offers both five-seat and six-seat configurations, featuring “Le Corbusier”-inspired electric lounge seats, a 12.3L climate-controlled refrigerator, a 21.5-inch second-row entertainment screen, B&O premium audio, 4D massage seats, and underfloor heating. With all five seats occupied, the trunk can accommodate 15 standard 20-inch suitcases and supports an optional Cargo Station Pro load-carrying platform capable of holding two road bikes. For safety, the IM LS8 employs the IM Fusion Nova full-domain fusion architecture, standard with features including full-domain digital blind-spot monitoring, Rainy Night Mode 2.0, all-scenario AEB, Active Anti-Rollover 3.0, and Blowout Stability Control 2.0. Its body structure adopts a “submarine cage” design with ten longitudinal and eleven transverse beams, while the battery meets aviation-grade safety standards and is complemented by a triple-redundant door-opening system. During the launch period, first-time non-commercial vehicle owners will receive lifetime battery warranty coverage. First owners will also enjoy five years of complimentary access to the full IM AD feature suite, while pre-order customers receive it for life. Nationwide test drives are now available.
