Volkswagen (Anhui) has officially launched the ID. UNYX, the first full-size all-electric SUV under its premium “Golden Label” Volkswagen brand, in Shenzhen. The vehicle is available in three variants priced at RMB 229,900, RMB 249,900, and RMB 289,900, respectively. As the first mass-produced model resulting from the technical collaboration between Volkswagen and XPeng, the ID. UNYX went from project initiation to market launch in just 24 months. All variants are equipped with CATL battery cells and offered with two battery pack options—82 kWh and 95 kWh—delivering CLTC-rated ranges of 630 km, 700 km, and 730 km, respectively. Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, the vehicle supports ultra-fast charging: just five minutes of charging adds 150 km of range, while a 10% to 80% charge takes only 20 minutes. Measuring nearly five meters in length with a wheelbase of 3,080 mm, the ID. UNYX features a fresh design language on the exterior and a cozy, home-inspired interior. It comes standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and dual 14.96-inch central displays. On the intelligent driving front, it integrates XPeng’s VLA end-to-end large-model ADAS, supporting both highway and urban Navigation Guided Pilot (NOA), as well as full-scenario “door-to-door” parking assistance. Powertrain options include single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The chassis features a dual-chamber air suspension, DCC adaptive damping control, AI-powered intelligent chassis management, and Magic Carpet predictive road-scanning technology. The front brakes utilize Brembo four-piston fixed calipers. For safety, the body employs an ultra-high-strength cage structure with 80% high-strength steel content, and the battery pack has passed 436 comprehensive safety tests covering all real-world scenarios.
