Yu-Zhi Jin, CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit (BU), has completed over a month of real-world road testing of the Qiankun ADS 5 advanced intelligent driving system beta version. Built on the WEWA 2.0 architecture, the system demonstrates significant improvements in traffic efficiency and overall driving experience across multiple scenarios—including urban roads, highways, and campuses. Jin described its performance as "extremely smooth" and noted further enhancements in safety. He expects ADS 5 to substantially increase the proportion of urban assisted-driving mileage. ADS 5 is the latest iteration of Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving solution and is scheduled for official launch at the Huawei Qiankun Technology Conference on April 23, 2026—just ahead of the Beijing Auto Show—alongside the unveiling of HarmonySpace 6 and several other innovative technologies.
