On April 18, Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, drove the Xiaomi SU7 Pro from Beijing to Shanghai in a live-streamed endurance test. The journey took approximately 15 hours, covering a total distance of 1,313 kilometers, and concluded at Shanghai’s 5G Future Center. The vehicle stopped only once for recharging—at Linshu Service Area in Shandong Province. The average energy consumption was 14.6 kWh per 100 kilometers, with an estimated 19 kilometers of range remaining upon arrival. During the live stream, Lei Jun was warmly welcomed by local Xiaomi users when passing through a service area in Linyi. This marked Lei Jun’s fifth participation in a Beijing–Shanghai long-distance test, but his first time broadcasting the entire trip live—a nearly 15-hour stream that set a new personal record for his longest live broadcast.
