Huawei has rolled out a new version of its Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving system, with the enhanced ADS Pro variant now supporting urban Navigation-guided Cruise Assist (NCA). This feature enables the vehicle to autonomously perform tasks such as following traffic and lane changes for overtaking on city roads based on the navigation route. The update introduces an "Intelligent Speed Reduction in High-Risk Accident Zones" function, which provides warnings and proactively reduces speed when high-risk road segments are detected. Additionally, a new "Reverse Maneuver Vulnerable Road User (VRU) Risk Warning" has been added to mitigate low-speed collision risks caused by blind spots during reversing. Activation conditions for NCA have been relaxed, with fewer restrictions on vehicle position and heading direction. The navigation experience has also been improved, including the addition of a frequently used locations favorites list and enhanced waypoint editing capabilities. In terms of parking, the system now supports "Campus Cruising with On-the-Go Parking Spot Selection," improving parking spot search efficiency. The parking payment process has been streamlined as well, with the Qiankun app now live and integrated with Huawei Pay. Huawei notes that all displayed in-vehicle interface demonstrations and feature showcases were conducted by professional personnel either in closed test environments or on public roads under safe conditions. These demonstrations do not indicate that the described features are currently available on production vehicles. Actual configurations may vary depending on official announcements from individual automakers or the final product specifications. Qiankun ADS is an advanced driver assistance system and cannot replace manual driving; it is not capable of handling all road, weather, or traffic conditions.
